Dr. Paul Guerriero is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in Retina and Diseases of the Vitreous. He attended college at Queens College of the City of New York where he graduated with honors. Dr. Guerriero then went on to complete his medical degree from SUNY Downstate School of Medicine. His ophthalmology residency took place at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. As a senior resident, he won the Louis Girard Award which is given to the graduating senior who has made a made significant contribution to ophthalmic research.
Dr. Guerriero completed a Retinal Fellowship in Atlanta, Georgia. His major interests are in the medical and surgical areas of Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy where he uses extensive lasers and diagnostic tests such as fluorescein angiography and ocular coherence tomography.
His major professional interests are in the areas of Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy. He has exceptional clinical skills and is using the newest proven treatments for macular degeneration. He is up-to-date on all the newest research and treatment protocols in the rapidly advancing field of macular disease.
